The Iowa Core Curriculum project has been ongoing for several years and it is in the Iowa Code that all accreditied schools in the state will teach the Iowa Core Curriculum.  In addition Iowa has adopted the Common Core for mathematics and literacy.  These are now a part of the Iowa Core. 

A key component of the Iowa core is 21st. Century Skills and technology literacy is a part of this.  The new ISTE NETS standards for students was the framework for the technology literacy standards.  Here is a link to the Iowa Core and a link to the class I taught.
